Dear participants

On behalf of the Organizing Committee we are very pleased to invite you to participate in the Managerial Transportation Workshop entitled Current Trends in Transportation Development to be held in Poznań, Poland, on September 13-15, 2005. This workshop will be a joint event to the Jubilee 10th Meeting of the EURO Working Group on Transportation on Advances in Modeling, Optimization and Management of Transportation Processes and Systems - Theory and Practice and 16th Mini-EURO Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Transportation. The workshop and conferences will be a meeting of scientists and practitioners, specialists in transportation from all over the World. Many of them are well recognized authorities from North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

We invite to participate in the workshop a wide spectrum of specialists in transportation, including managers and executive directors of well-known transportation and logistics companies, their customers and business partners, politicians, and representatives of local authorities engaged in solving transportation problems. We are sure that all announced events will give you an exceptional opportunity to discuss on wide spectrum of transportation problems, including transportation policy, operational problems of forwarders and many others important issues of transport and logistics in Poland and all over the World. We are also sure that these events will be a great chance to refresh existing and establish new business contacts.

All these events will be organized simultaneously, but our idea is to give you a chance to participate in a various conference sessions, to visit interesting sponsor-post, and to exchange opinions during workshop and panel presentations. The official language of the workshop is Polish, but the conference is in English.

Our professional discussion will be enriched by a social program, and we hope you will enjoy it and your different likes will be fulfilled. The main points of the social program consists in banquet at Poznań Mayor Residence, musical performances as well as gala dinner with the performance of the folk-dancing group Wielkopolska. We will also invite you to visit Poznań's City Hall and we hope you will enjoy a wide variety of cozy cafés and traditional Polish restaurants scattered throughout the city.
